FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves pelletisation of charge so that conditioned wet pellets are obtained, laying on conveyor belt of trough-shaped cross section, which is located in heat insulated furnace, and partial drying in working space of the furnace. Partial drying of wet pellets is performed with air with temperature of 20-300°C, which is supplied through blast duct equipped with nozzle surface in the form of jets oriented towards the layer of pellets and in the form of the flow blown with the fan installed at the furnace outlet, with suction of waste air with ID fan installed at the furnace inlet. Pellets are laid on grating of roasting machine and finally treated. Prior to partial drying the layer of wet pellets is profiled with dividing plough installed with a gap above conveyor belt and trough-shaped cross section of constant thickness of the above layer is formed by means of it. At that, lower contact surface of dividing plough and nozzle surface of the blast duct is made as per the shape of cross section of conveyor belt.
EFFECT: reduction of fuel consumption for heat treatment of pellets.
