SUBSTANCE: method and device can be used for building completely new small-sized surface mounting automatic machines. Articles are delivered into the line sequence forming area onto transportation surface made for rotation. Articles are kept in the line sequence forming area till they are received onto transfer element of transfer element set which are made for rotation and which are used for transferring articles of line sequence to common carrier to fix the articles onto the carrier. Common carrier is disposed for discrete shift under transfer element set. Discrete shift of common carrier is carried out in perpendicular to radius of rotation of transfer element set. Discrete shift of common carrier is carried out line by line as in direct and in reverse direction.
EFFECT: improved reliability of operation.
