FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out thermokeratoplasty using infrared laser radiation on ytterbium-erbium glass of wavelength equal to 1.54 mcm, pulse power of 150-165 mJ/cm2, laser spot diameter of 200-300 mcm, pulse exposure time of 0.5 ms and spatial absorption by cornea tissues to a depth of 1.0-1.5 mm. Coagulate superposition zone is arranged in sectors over corneal periphery in weak axis with diameter of 6.0-6.5 mm to 7.0 mm. The number of coagulates is varied from 3 to 5 in internal rows and from 1 to 2 in external rows. The number of rows is equal to 2 to 5.
EFFECT: eliminated or reduced anisometropy; repaired vision function.
