FIELD: chemical industry, construction material industry, in particular, manufacture of small-sized glass balls, both whole and hollow.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for opening and stabilizing burning of vortex fire flow within furnace for manufacturing small-sized glass balls (microspheres) comprises disk arranged coaxially with respect to vortex fire flow. Disk is formed hollow and is defined by two interconnected halves, one of said halves facing fire flow being made in the form of hemisphere and other half being made in the form of hemisphere or truncated cone. Said other half is coaxially fixed at one end of hollow bar, and slide valve is secured at other end of hollow bar and adapted for feeding of cooling medium through central pipe coaxially mounted within hollow bar into hollow part of disk and discharge of said medium therefrom through annular gap between bar inner wall and central pipe. Hemisphere facing fire flow opens it through an angle α defined by diameter of hemisphere. Hollow bar and hollow disk are joined through detachable connection.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation of furnace.
