Abstract RU 2279684 C1

FIELD: the invention refers to measuring technique for definition of an ohm component of potential at controlling the protection of the material of an underground current guiding structure, for example, of a pipeline, from electrochemical corrosion.

SUBSTANCE: the essence of the invention is in influencing on a metallic underground structure with an alternate current from a mobile source of current. Difference of potentials U1 between the structure and an electrode of comparison on an alternate current is measured. The gradients of potentials DU1, DU2 in the ground between the electrodes of comparison at influencing correspondingly of an alternate current and on a constant current when the mobile source of current is switched off. The ohm component of the potential of the structure U0 in accordance with the formula U0=U1.DU2/DU1.

EFFECT: decreases errors in measuring of an ohm component of potential and as a result of polarized potential at simultaneous provision of simplicity and comfort of work in field conditions.
