FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to measuring equipment and may be used for measurement of potential components (polarising and ohm) in underground metal structure. Device comprises measuring instrument, which contains the following modules: unit of measurement and calculation equipped with autonomous source of power supply, multiplexer of analog signals and module of conjugation that has inbuilt keyboard and indicator. Multiplexer of analog signals is connected to inlets of measuring instrument, in which the first inlet is connected by means of connecting conductor via control and measuring post to metal underground structure, and the second and third inlets are connected by connecting conductors to appropriate comparison electrodes. Inside measuring device multiplexer of analog signals is connected to unit of measurement and calculation by analog measuring channels of direct current and alternating current with frequency of 100 Hz, to which noise suppression unit is connected with frequency of 50 Hz. Analog measuring channels of direct and alternating current and unit of measurement and calculation are arranged as galvanically isolated. Unit of measurement and calculation provides measurements of potential components by alternating connection of measuring device inlets to appropriate analog measuring channels - in measurement mode by direct current or in measurement mode by alternating current, and their calculation by formulas.
EFFECT: reduced error of potential components measurement with simultaneous provision of simplicity and convenience of operation in field conditions along the whole length of underground metal structure.
