The method for detecting electrochemical copper deposition includes periodic measurement of the natural potential between the remote electrode and the copper sulfate reference electrode ΔU1i, while additionally, with the same measurement period of the natural potential between the external electrode and the copper sulfate reference electrode ΔU1i, the natural potential between the copper electrode and the copper sulfate reference electrode ΔU2i is measured, the difference calculated between the obtained values ​​ΔU1i and ΔU2i, the obtained difference is compared with the difference of the previous calculations ΔU1i-1 and ΔU2i-2 and when ΔU1i - ΔU2i → 0, the beginning of electrochemical copper deposition on the external electrode is announced.

EFFECT: possibility of operational control of electrochemical deposition of copper on remote electrodes in cathodic protection systems for metal structures.
