FIELD: mechanical engineering; noise silencers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed noise silencer contains cylindrical housing rigidly connected with end face intake and outlet branch pipes, and central partition. Housing is lined from inside with noise-absorbing material, and central partition is made in from of noise-absorbing member with skeleton lined from two sides with noise-absorbing material. Skeleton of noise-absorbing member can be turned in plane square to direction of aerodynamic flow.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of noise damping owing to tuning of chamber silencer by turning noise-absorbing member.
