SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of plankton and attached microbiological populations in industrial aqueous system. Method involves addition a fluorogenic dye to the industrial aqueous system followed by measurement the fluorescent signal by a fluorimeter device and calculation of its ratio to a fluorescent signal of unreacted dye. Based on data of measurement the conclusion is done about the microbiological activity in the industrial aqueous system. Invention provides carrying out the control of microorganism growth in the industrial aqueous system.
