FIELD: metallurgy, namely casting ingots of aluminum and its alloys, mainly high-alloy alloys.
SUBSTANCE: mold includes two insulated chambers, namely cooling chamber and pre-chamber. In order to supply liquid lubricant onto working surface of mold, there is turning in upper part of housing. Uniform flowing of cooling liquid is achieved due to vertical and horizontal partitions mounted in chambers. In cooling chamber lower horizontal partition is arranged over supply duct and in upper horizontal partition slit is formed in mean portion. In pre-chamber horizontal partition is mounted with gap relative to lateral lid of mold housing and vertical partition is mounted with gap relative to upper boundary of pre-chamber. Additional supply duct is formed in bottom of pre-chamber.
EFFECT: increased casting speed and efficiency of casting machines, high quality of surface of cast ingots due to controlling cooling intensity of cast ingots.
