FIELD: foundry production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of foundry production. The device for vertical casting of cylindrical aluminum alloy ingots contains a mold with a housing (1) and a cooling system, a pallet (11), a casting machine with a distribution tray (9) for supplying liquid metal to the primary and secondary cooling zones (14) and (15). For the passage of metal from the tray (9) into the filling zone and the primary cooling zone, there is a thermal nozzle (6) in the form of a truncated cone with a protrusion (19), a thermal bushing (10) and a graphite ring (5). The cooling system is located in the housing and is divided into a chamber (17) for the curtain distribution of the coolant and a chamber (18) for mixing the coolant. The chambers (17, 18) are connected by holes evenly distributed around the perimeter of the housing (1). The casting machine contains a casting table (3) with a bypass channel (2) for supplying coolant in its lower part connected to a barrier (4) for uniform distribution of coolant inside the housing (1).
EFFECT: ingot quality improvement is ensured by reducing the formation of surface defects.
