FIELD: tire industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at fitting antislip studs on vehicle tires to provide possibility of running over-ice-coated pavement. Method of manufacture of studded tire containing running belt with radial outer surface provided with great number of metal studs partially projecting from said outer surface comes to the following steps: first green tire is manufactured and studs are fitted in sockets of curing mould, then green tire is placed in said curing mould, is covered and green tire is cured after which tire is taken out of curing mould. Pitch of studs in mould sockets is provided by setting stud holding device keeping great number of studs inside mould, and studs are pushed out of said device into sockets. Semiautomatic stud setting process guarantees safety in manufacture and provides high efficiency.
EFFECT: provision of high efficiency of manufacture of studded tires.
