FIELD: shipbuilding; marine propulsive plants working on fuel produced from domestic or industrial wastes.
SUBSTANCE: proposed plant includes combustion unit, withdrawal unit and grinding unit. Combustion unit is provided with heating chamber suitable for work on nontraditional fuel; combustion unit has housing for fuel including containers suitable for keeping fuel in stacks. Containers are used for transportation of stacks to embarkation position. Withdrawal unit is used for withdrawing fuel from containers and feeding it to combustion unit. Grinding unit is used for grinding stacks for making loose mass; it is located in front of combustion unit in technological chain. Method of setting the ship in motion in water includes combustion of nontraditional fuel for forming propulsive force for ship, placing the fuel stacks in containers, transportation of stacks to embarkation position, loading of containers on board the ship and grinding of fuel.
EFFECT: increased utilization factor; extended field of application.
