FIELD: military equipment, applicable for ballistic preparation of automatic fire of tank guns and self-propelled guns.

SUBSTANCE: the method consists in the fact that the correction to the shell muzzle velocity for a deviation of properties of a lot of propellant charges is introduced automatically at loading by automatic mechanism for artillery gun loading. The correction is taken into account according to the content of moisture in powder as compared with the initial (manufacturer's) one. For introduction of corrections use is made of the signal from the powder moisture content sensor positioned inside the propellant charge of the artillery round. The signal is read off the moisture content sensor and its value is taken into account at introduction of a correction to the shell muzzle velocity.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of fire, reduced time for ballistic preparation of fire.
