FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises setting a heat source inside a tubular blank and applying high-temperature coating to be analyzed on the part of the inner surface of the tubular blank that faces the heat source and applying the coating with known properties on the other part of the surface. The device comprises thermocouple for measuring temperature on the surfaces of the blank that faces the heat source and thermocouple that is mounted on the other surface. The properties of the coating are determined from the difference between the temperature measured by the thermocouples.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
