FIELD: nuclear power engineering, in particular, engineering of acceleration-controlled systems with liquid metal targets.

SUBSTANCE: proposed liquid metal target contains branch pipes for feeding and draining liquid metal of, for example, Pb-Bi eutectics, branch pipe for feeding protons from accelerator and working chamber with through part. Through part of target is made in form of ascending and descending channels, inclined at an angle to horizontal axis of branch pipe for feeding protons from accelerator, combined by upper rotary chamber.

EFFECT: prevention of influx of liquid metal heat carrier into hollow of accelerator at the moments of beginning and end of circulation of liquid metal and improved heat exchange in hollow of target.
