FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy; methods of control over the rarefaction in the gas-suction network of the aluminum production electrolyzer body.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to production of aluminum by electrolysis. The control over the rarefaction in the gas-suction network of the electrolyzer body is exercised by the throttling device of the piston type mounted in the withdrawal branch-pipe of the inertia dust-settling chamber, arranged directly behind each burner. The control is exercised by the vertical smooth relocating of the piston overlapping the side hole for removal of the flue gases in the withdrawal branch-pipe of the dust-settling chamber up to achievement of the rarefaction behind the burners within the limits of 0.06-0.12 from the maximum rarefaction in the semi-link of the electrolyzers of the body. The technical result consists that the invention ensures reduction of the CO share in the products of the afterburning of the anodic gas, reduction of the volume of the gas-suction and elimination of the clogging of the throttling device by the dust and gum residue.
