METHOD OF PREDICTING RISK OF DEVELOPMENT OF ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION FOR YOUNG MEN Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B5/01

Abstract RU 2286083 C2

FIELD: medicine; cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: patient experiences walking along smooth horizontal surface at speed of 1 m/s to cover distance of 180 m. Arterial pressure is measured at standing position Measurement are made before and after physical activity and if at repeat measurement of arterial pressure its value is 4 mm of mercury column lower than at first measurement, risk of arterial hypertension is considered high. If arterial pressure is 4 mm of mercury column and higher at repeat measurement, risk of development of arterial hypertension is considered low. If at repeat measurement the arterial pressure has changed less than 2 mm of mercury column and pulse arterial pressure is higher or equal to 500 mm of mercury column at repeat measurement, then risk of arterial hypertension is considered high. If at repeat measurement value of arterial pressure has changed less than by 2 mm of mercury column comparing to initial level and pulse arterial pressure has changed less than 50 mm of mercury column, then risk of development of arterial hypertension is considered low. Method allows revealing patients with high risk of development of arterial pressure among young men having normal arterial pressure at rest condition.

EFFECT: high precision of diagnostics.
