FIELD: analytical chemistry of elements, namely, methods for detecting palladium, possible use for detecting palladium in geological and industrial materials, technological solutions, natural and technologically made waters.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method, solution of palladium II is prepared in hydrochloric acid, palladium II is extracted from solution using sorbent, as which chemically modified silica gel is used, in dynamic sorption mode and it is transferred to complex compound on the surface of sorbent, sorbent with absorbed palladium II is separated from solution and processed by water-ethanol solution of Michler's tio-ketone, measured further is coefficient of diffusion reflection of surface compound of palladium II and then palladium content is estimated using calibrating graph, as sorbent, silica gel is used, chemically modified by dipropylsulphide groups, sorbent is processed using 1 · 10-5 - 1 · 10-4 M solution of Michler's tio-ketone in 40-60% water solution of ethyl spirits, while measurement of diffusion reflection coefficient is performed at 540 nm.
EFFECT: lowered detection limit, expanded range of detectable contents.
