FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed to absorb impact energy at collision of vehicle with obstacle. Proposed bumper contains inner fixed frame 2 and outer movable frame 3 mounted on body 1 and connected by helical cylindrical compression springs 4. Threaded plugs 5 are freely turned into each spring 4 periodically along its length and without interference. Extreme plugs 6 are elongated and fastened by outer end faces to fixed and movable frames 2, 3. Axially magnetized permanent magnets 7 are arranged on other end faces of plugs 5, 6 which are made beveled. Permanent magnets are made in form of plates pointed to each other by like poles and forming axial clearances 8 variable in which between threaded plugs 5, 6.
EFFECT: increased degree of energy absorption by vehicle bumper.
