FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed to absorb impact energy in case of collision of vehicle with obstacle. Proposed bumper has inner fixed frame 2 and outer movable frame 3 mounted on body 1 and coupled by helical cylindrical springs 4 rigidly connected by some end faces to movable frame 3. Other end faces of springs 4 with fitted-on disks 5 are arranged inside ring limiters 6 installed on fixed frame 2. Contact surfaces 7 of disks 5 and fixed frame 2 rough. Two cross axle-shafts 8, 9 are fastened in middle part to each spring 4 from opposite sides. Each spring 4 is provided with two longitudinal tie-rods consisting of two members 10, 11 and 12, 13 each, inner ends of which are hinge secured on cross axle-shafts 8, 9, and outer ends are also hinge-secured on fixed and movable frames, 2, 3 for turning around axle parallel to springs 4.
EFFECT: improved energy absorbing simplified design of vehicle bumper.
