FIELD: electric engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device for protection from voltage surge contains first and second electrodes positioned in the body with air spark discharge gap present between them, on ignition of which between both electrodes electric arc is formed. In accordance to invention, device for protection from voltage surge has increased capability for suppressing following current of network and is characterized by simple constructive realization, because provided additionally are third electrode and resistor, connected between second electrode and third electrode, while between first electrode and third electrode an isolated air spark gap is formed.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
