FIELD: chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrode coating comprising the following components, wt.-%: iron powder, 16-19; ferromanganese, 5-6; ferrosilicon, 6-7; ferromolybdenum, 1-2; alumomagnesium, 1-2; quartz sand, 1-2; rutile, 6-7; feldspar, 3-4; kaolin, 2-4; fluorspar, 10-12; an organic plasticizing agent, 1-2, and marble, the balance. Selection of components for electrode coating provides enhancing the strength limit of metal fused by electrodes up to value less 589 MPa and decreasing the minimal temperature providing impact viscosity less 34 J/cm2 to -60°C. Invention can be used in making electrodes used in arc welding.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of coating.
