FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be implemented for welding without preliminary heating structures out of cold resistant low alloyed steel with yield point over 480 MPa operating under temperature up to minus 40°C. The electrode consists out of a low alloyed core with coating applied onto it and containing wt %: marble 40-50, fluorspar 14-23, high-silica sand 6-10, rutile 3-6, a complex component 8-20, ferrosilicon 3-8, metal manganese 1.5-6, ferromolybdenum 0.5-3. Additionally, over mass of dry mixture of components this coating contains sodium 0.5-2.0 and sodium liquid glass 23-28 wt %. The complex component in form of mineral alloy contains ingredients at the following ratio, wt %: marble 35-40, fluorspar 10-18, high silica sand 18-22, alumina 28-35, titanium dioxide 3-5 and REE (rare earth elements) in form of cerium and lanthanum oxides 1-10.
EFFECT: high mechanical properties of metal of seam at low temperature and good welding-process characteristics.
