FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves showing accommodation stimulus to patient under examination and determining dynamic amplitude-time parameters of accommodation response Umax and tcv describing ciliary muscle work to achieve eye accommodation, with electric ciliary muscle biopotential recording through eyelid under natural vision load or its imitation. The obtained Umax and tcv parameters are compared to diagnostic parameter corridors determined for people of various eye refraction values. Belonging to one of the corridors being proved, eye accommodation apparatus functional deviation nature is determined. Device has plastic test spectacle rim provided with metal electrodes. Slits, allowing movements of plates built-in into glass holder bases in vertical position, are available in upper and lower glass holder bases. Springs are rigidly fixed on internal plate sides. Discharging screened microwires are available in hollow springs canal connected in turn to analog processing unit having synchronizing device.
EFFECT: high reliability and accuracy of measurements allowing potential ciliary muscle ability to be measured in patients having various functional eye refraction disorders.
