FIELD: communications engineering, possible use for transmitting discrete information, protected by interference-resistant code, in particular, interference-resistant cascade code.

SUBSTANCE: in the known method for transmitting information using adaptive interference-resistant encoding, during receipt of information, control of communication channel quality is additionally performed on basis of ratio of amplitude estimate to estimate of average square signal deviation (signal/noise ratio estimate), which is compared to threshold value, determined in advance; if the signal/noise ratio is equal to or exceeds the threshold value, then decision is made to stop using interference-resistant encoding and the message about the decision is transmitted to transmitting side, while parameters of interference-resistant cascade code, which caused the decision to stop using interference-resistant encoding, are recorded in memory; if signal/noise ratio is below threshold, decision is made about using interference-resistant encoding with the same parameters recorded in memory which were used before the decision to stop using interference-resistant encoding, as a result, excessiveness of code is prevented when communication channel quality is good and adaptation is ensured when channel parameters change.

EFFECT: increased traffic capacity of the communication channel.
