METHOD FOR TREATING PELVIC PAIN AT VARICOSIS OF UTERINE ADNEXA Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2295301 C1

FIELD: medicine, gynecology.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating chronic pelvic pain in women of any age. Under laparoscopic control one should detect varicose veins of uterine adnexa. Then, with the help of a clamp it is necessary to squeeze proximal departments of large collector vessels out-branching from these veins. Then, with the help of endoscopic needle one should prick the wall of venous vessels being below the site of clamp's application to locally introduce the solution of phlebosclerosant into restricted vascular tract. Then it is necessary to keep this medicinal solution for about 3-5 min, till the moment of its homogenization and thickening, then the clamp should be removed to finish laparoscopy. The innovation enables to either stop or decrease retrograde blood supply along visceral venous vessels towards ovaries and uterine tubes by, thus, preventing venous congestion in venous tract of these organs that prevents and interrupts pelvic pain syndrome for prolonged period of time and, also, decreases the risk for the development of surgical complications.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
