FIELD: agriculture, in particular, desinsection and disinfection of grain material before laying it for storage, processing and presowing treatment.
SUBSTANCE: method involves forming recirculation gas flow in discharge chamber by supplying microwave energy through two inlets for using first and second electromagnetic waves which create in discharge chamber two electromagnetic fields with perpendicular linear polarization perpendicular to axis of discharge chamber, said fields being free of axial electric field component in discharge chamber; introducing third electromagnetic field in conjunction with said two electromagnetic fields into discharge chamber, said third wave having uniform azimuthally distributed polarization and axial electric field component maximal in discharge chamber central part; directing grain material in the form of free falling grain flow through plasma created within discharge chamber. Apparatus has discharge chamber with axis oriented along gravitation vector. Discharge chamber has side wall and lower bottom having central opening to which ready product discharge unit is joined. Main microwave energy inlet unit has inner and outer pipe-shaped conductors. Inner conductor is positioned above discharge chamber and joined with its upper end to discharge opening of product dosing device. Outer conductor is positioned between upper bottom and side wall of discharge chamber. Apparatus has two rectangular waveguides, additional microwave energy inlet unit, sealing dielectric, vortex gas flow former, and plasma ignition unit. Waveguides are joined to outer conductor of main microwave inlet unit so that their wide walls are parallel to apparatus axis. Said additional unit is positioned next to upper bottom of main unit and connected thereto through window provided in outer conductor of this unit. Additional unit is formed as rectangular waveguide having narrow wall extending in parallel with axis of apparatus.
EFFECT: uniform processing of material through cross section of discharge chamber and reliable operation of apparatus.
