FIELD: apparatus for feeding drops of melt glass mass from source of such drops to rough mold of one adjacent section of molding separate-section type machine for making glass containers, namely oscillating tray for feeding drops of melt glass to stationary chute.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus member for transporting melt glass drops is curvilinear in vertical plane parallel to lengthwise axis of apparatus from higher inlet position till lower outlet position. Said member is in the form of oscillating tray for transporting melt glass drops to stationary chute. Configuration of cross section of said member practically corresponds to turned upward V letter whose opposite sides are connected by their lower ends by rounding. Upper free ends of said sides are mutually spaced by some interval exceeding width of the largest drop passing through elongated member. Said rounding has radius less than radius of the least size of drops in given range of drop size. Oscillating tray has surface being in contact with melt glass drop; said surface is smooth and it has no coating. Tray also includes unit for indirect cooling of surface contacting with drops.
EFFECT: improved tray for transporting melt glass drops operating in wide range of drop size and having such shape that provides passing of melt glass drops without contact with liquid cooling agent that may flow through tray along its bottom.
