FIELD: equipment and method for feeding of liquid glass droplets from vibrating chute to mold of glass molding machine.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has chute-shaped member having substantially V-shaped cross section, with clearance being oriented upward and pair of opposite sides being joined at their lower ends to each other so as to define rounded curve, and with sides being spaced from one another by distance measured between their free ends, said distance being larger than width of the largest glass mass droplet of glass mass droplets having width within predetermined substantially wide range of sizes of said droplets adapted to pass along chute unit. Said rounded curve has radius smaller than width of the smallest glass mass droplet of glass mass droplets having width within predetermined substantially wide range of sizes. Apparatus has collector located under chute-shaped member and extending by substantial distance along chute member. Collector is configured so that its cross section is substantially U-shaped with its clearance oriented upward. Chute-shaped member is inserted into collector so that it is partly set in collector lower portion. Apparatus is further furnished with air supplying device for supplying of pressurized air or air discharged by fan into collector in order to cool said chute-shaped member. Method involves feeding individual droplets of moldable glass mass from source of such droplets of glass mass into respective section of glass molding machine for molding of glass containers, said droplets having width within predetermined substantially wide range of droplet sizes.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and wider operational capabilities by providing feeding chute capable of receiving and feeding droplets of any size.
