FIELD: medicine, surgery.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with detecting the position of appendix in the tissues of abdominal cavity. For this purpose, one should apply two clamps onto a cecum in area of its "tenial part" to lift cecal wall. Then it is necessary to apply a purse-string suture between these clamps and make a paracentesis in its area. An appendicoscope should be introduced into cecal cavity and fixed with purse-string suture. Through appendix' mouth it is necessary to introduce a probe into its cavity under the control of the appendicoscope to lift the appendix carefully. Such a diagnostics enables to decrease traumatism in the course of surgical interference in patients with inflamed appendix in case of adhesive process.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of detection.
