FIELD: medicine, clinical immunology.
SUBSTANCE: in the course of ultrasound scanning of thymus gland it is necessary to estimate the weight of a child's thymus gland to compare it against the desired weight, and at increased weight being up to 30% against the desired value one should diagnose hyperplasia of degree I, in case of the increase by 70-100% - that of degree III, at increased weight being above 100% against the desired data hyperplasia of degree IV, at decreased weight of thymus gland by 10% and more against the desired value one should diagnose hypoplasia. The innovation enables to diagnose immune failure, a primary (inborn) one among them together with the data of immunological trial to carry out correctional therapy.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of scanning.
