FIELD: medicine and ultrasound diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ultrasound diagnostics in pediatrics, in endocrinology to assess the conformity of the volume of the thyroid gland to the norm or deviation from it in children with height above average from 4 to 15 years, and can also be used in the practice of forensic medicine. During ultrasound examination, the volume of the thyroid gland is determined, the height of the child is determined and the diagnostic coefficient of the ratio of the volume of the thyroid gland to the height is established according to the original calculation formula. According to the obtained value of the RVG coefficient, the correspondence of the volume of the thyroid gland to the norm or deviation from it is assessed, namely, when its value for girls and boys 4 years old is within 0.014-0.030 cm3/cm; 5 years within the range of 0.014-0.031 cm3/cm; 6 years within the range of 0.017-0.031 cm3/cm; 7 years within the range of 0.018-0.035 cm3/cm; 8 years within the range of 0.016-0.036 cm3/cm; 9 years within the range of 0.018-0.046 cm3/cm; 10 years within the range of 0.020-0.046 cm3/cm; 11 years within the range of 0.026-0.053 cm3/cm; for girls 12 years old within 0.037-0.053 cm3/cm, and for boys 12 years old in the range of 0.034-0.056 cm3/cm; for girls 13 years old within 0.033-0.055 cm3/cm and for boys 13 years old 0.023-0.055 cm3/cm; for girls 14 years old in the range of 0.023-0.059 cm3/cm and for boys 14 years old in the range of 0.031-0.053 cm3 / cm; for girls 15 years old within the range of 0.046-0.063 cm3/cm and for boys 15 years old within the range of 0.035-0.055 cm3/cm, it is diagnosed that the volume of the thyroid gland of a child with height above the average is normal, with values below the lower limit, it is concluded that there is thyroid hypoplasia, and at values above the upper limit, it is concluded that there is thyroid hyperplasia.
EFFECT: invention allows assessing the compliance of the volume of the thyroid gland with the norm or deviation from it in children with a height above the average from 4 to 15 years.
