FIELD: the invention refers to systems of measuring distance with using reflection of electromagnetic waves.

SUBSTANCE: the definition of distance at using a continuous radiation signal is fulfilled by means of primary measuring of distance D0 , by way of fixing the beginning of the sounding of a mobile object with a continuous signal, of receiving a reflected signal on a Doppler frequency, of calculating the number of reference frequencies for the time from the beginning of radiation of continuous signal until the coming of the reflected signal on Doppler frequency, of measuring through equal time segments Δt of Doppler frequency fd, definition according to the meaning of the Doppler frequency of the approaching speed out of expression V=fd*λ/2, where λ - the length of the radiated wave, definition of distance till the mobile object out of expression D=D0 +n*V*Δt, where n -a number of time segments Δt. There are introduced in the scheme of the arrangement a detection block, a speed definition block, an initial distance calculation block, a time segments definition block, a distance definition block and an adder.

EFFECT: increases comprehension of measuring distance at using a continuous signal radiation.
