FIELD: the proposed invention refers to the field of the analysis of radioactive materials and sources of ionizing radiation with using radiation methods of control.
SUBSTANCE: the technical result from realization of the given invention is expansion of the range of registration of penetrating radiation, definition of the position of the source of radiation and its identification, definition, exposure of nuclear substances and article from them camouflaged in neutron retarding mediums. The proposed registering device has a block out of polymer scintillating optical fibers and a position-sensitive photo receiver. At that the block out of polymer scintillating fibers is fulfilled in the shape of a fiber-optical screen transformer out of a plait of scintillating fibers, on one of the end-faces of the plait there is a mask for registration of thermal neutrons, the block is provided with a system of azimuth displacements, the mask for registering of thermal neutrons is fulfilled out of optically transparent material on whose surface a layer of phosphor is plotted in a chess order.
EFFECT: expands the range of registering of penetrating radiation.
