FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely production of composition materials on base of tungsten carbide for making electric contacts.
SUBSTANCE: method for making electrical-engineering composition material comprises steps of mixing powders for two stages: at first mixing powders of tungsten-cobalt hard alloy and copper and then mixing prepared mixture with graphite. Then alcohol solution of orthophosphoric acid is added to prepared mixture at next relation of components, mass%: copper, 40 - 60: graphite, 1.0 - 3.0; H3PO4 + C2H5OH, 3.0 - 6.0; hard alloy, the balance. Then stages of plasticizing, pressing and liquid-phase sintering in vacuum are realized. At heating process during sintering two isothermal soaking stages are performed. At first soaking stage is realized at temperature of creating easy-to-melt eutectics Cu-P and then soaking is realized at temperature of creating easy-to-melt eutectics Co-P.
EFFECT: enhanced rigidity, improved wear resistance of material.
