FIELD: optical communication systems for homing missile on target; simulating modulating noise acting on missile receiving channel in flying path.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device are designed to control optical pulse radiation power in compliance with magnitude and waveform of modulating source voltage. Proposed method includes generation of electric signal varying magnitude of electric pulses used to control laser pumping parameter thereby shaping power amplitude of radiated optical pulses within interval of power values not lower than laser excitation threshold value and not over its maximal power. Newly introduced in proposed device are modulating signal source, modulator, and amplifier-converter.
EFFECT: facilitated procedure, enlarged functional capabilities.
