FIRE BARRIER Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A62C4/00 

FIELD: fire-fighting, particularly to protect fire- and explosion hazardous material transportation and storage systems against fire to prevent ecological catastrophes.

SUBSTANCE: fire barrier is adapted to retard flame propagation into reservoir or pipeline. Fire barrier comprises heat supply system arranged on fire barrier body or on fire-shielding member or both on the body and on the fire-shielding member of the fire barrier or on plates made of heat-conductive material and arranged in fire-shielding member for continuous fire barrier heating. As ambient temperature decreases up to predetermined value heat supply system is activated.

EFFECT: possibility of fire barrier usage in any season at any environment temperatures and possibility of trouble-free reservoir operation.
