DEVICE FOR RECONDITIONING FRICTION MATING SURFACE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B23P6/00

Abstract RU 2302328 C2

FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device for reconditioning friction mating surfaces of internal combustion engine contains part whose surface is to be reconditioned, namely, cathode, and soluble element, namely, anode. Anode is made of material containing components for reconditioning of friction of friction surfaces, for instance, zinc, brass bronze. Device contains means to control speed of reconditioning of worn out parts. Soluble anodes are installed in housing of oil filter and oil intake. Said housing is provided with spiral grooves and ribs. In process of reconditioning standard oil of engine is replaced by processing liquid with additions containing ions of metal. Ultrasonic oscillation sources are placed in engine crankcase, being connected to ultrasonic oscillator, frequency 20-23 kHz. Several sources of ultrasonic oscillations can be used which are arranged at a distance of one quarter of length of ultrasonic oscillations wave (λ/4 m) from each other. Current in anode-cathode circuit is asymmetrical. With parameters of Ia/Ic=20/l and Ta/Tc=25/l where Ia is anode current, Ic is cathode current, Ta is duration of current supply to anode; Tc is duration of current supply to cathode. Current regulator is used in anode-cathode circuit which closes and open the circuit and regulates value of current depending on signals received from transducers.

EFFECT: possibility of reconditioning worn out units and mechanisms of engine without its disassembling.
