FIELD: nuclear reactor physics; measuring effectiveness of core absorbers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for experimental recording of spatial effect in critical reactor core when metering effectiveness of absorbers includes displacement of absorber assembly within core, evaluation of changes in neutron flux density by neutron-detector recorded signal, and calculation of reactivity value using chosen algorithm, as well as evaluation of spatial region radius. Algorithm is based on kinetic point model. Regressive dependence Δρ showing relative variation in absorber assembly effectiveness as function of distance r between absorber assembly and neutron detectors caused by displacement of absorber assembly is built in advance to determine spatial effect region radius. Neutron detectors will be beyond (inside) spatial effect region. Absorber assembly effectiveness is found by neutron detector signals. Neutron detectors are beyond spatial effect region.
EFFECT: ability of on-line correction of results obtained in measuring effectiveness of absorber assemblies residing in spatial effect region.
