FIELD: electrolytic production of aluminum out of cryolite-alumina melt, namely method for mounting roasted anodes in aluminum cell with upper electric current supply pins.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of inserting electric current supply pins into anode cemented along vertical and horizontal planes and formed of separate roasted blocks. Blocks are cemented one to other at shifting of their upper surfaces one relative to other in vertical plane. Current supply pins are replaced as anode is consumed at electrolysis process. Anode is grown up by alternatively growing up its blocks at burning lower surface of anode while keeping shift value of block in upper plane. At replacing pins are lifted up to level of block and cemented into grown up block.
EFFECT: possibility of continuous operation of roasted anodes with vertical electric current supply.
