FIELD: mechanical engineering; methods of renewal of the articles made out of the refractory metals.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the method of renewal of the spent tantalum target for spraying and may be used in mechanical engineering at manufacture of the articles with the coatings. The target made out of tantalum is recovered after consumption of the metal in some its areas by filling the areas with the metal powder and heating by the high energy source with the high speed of the raster scanning for the powder sintering without the complete melting of the powdery filler. The process is exercised without separation of the substrate and the tantalum plate. As a result on the renewed plate of the target they form the microscopic structure matching to the microscopic structure of the rest part of the renewed target. The technical result of the invention is the simplicity and reduction of the cost of the tantalum targets recovery process.
EFFECT: the invention ensures the simplicity and reduced cost of the tantalum targets recovery process.
