FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has rod fixed with anchor in femur diaphysis. Its distal portion has core cross-section narrowing towards the end. It has longitudinal ribs on lateral and medial sides which height increases from proximal area to distal one. Rod core cross-section has essentially rectangular boundary at a distance of 1 cm from the distal end having axes proportions equal to at least 1:5 and at least near the distal end bears one rib on each of both lateral edges of 2 mm in height. Rod core cross-section boundaries between two ribs available on the lateral edges project in lateral direction not further than the edges.
EFFECT: enabled force transfer over greater area in diaphysis zone; improved reliability under twisting loads.
