FIELD: measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: flow meter comprises unit for measuring velocity of the flow made of a blade shaped into a tube and level gage. The pressure gage is mounted at the end of the blade. The second pressure gage, identical to the first one, is mounted in the ambient air. The signals from the pressure gages are fed to the electronic unit for determining the depth of the flow that is determined as a sum of two fluid layers, h1 and h2, measured from the surface to the bottom of the reservoir. The h1 depth is determined by means of the pressure gage interconnected through the differential circuit , and h2 depth is determined from the angle of deviation of the blade from the vertical line with regard to the length of blade and height of its suspension with respect to the bottom of the reservoir.
EFFECT: simplified structure.
