FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has immovable base, frame, reversing electric drive connected to screw pair made in the form of lead screw and nut, rocking arms pivotally fixed to base, transmission, two support assemblies, and foot support. Apparatus is further equipped with microcontroller, position sensor, end switches, and reversing electric drive control unit. Transmission has two interconnected parallel four-link mechanisms. Rocking arms are rigidly joined to second links of four-link mechanisms adjoining first links. Lower leg support assembly is fixed on frame. Thigh support assembly is fixed on third links adjoining first links and connected through fourth links to second links. Frame is pivotally connected with carriage. Nut of screw pair is positioned within carriage slot for radial displacement relative to axis of lead screw. End switches located on base are designed for fixing carriage in its extreme positions. Position sensor is positioned on four-link mechanism. Microcontroller is connected with reversing electric engine drive control unit, whose output is joined to reversing electric drive and end switches are joined to microcontroller.

EFFECT: simplified construction of apparatus allowing knee and coxofemoral joints to be simultaneously worked out and providing simplified and reliable controlling the process for recovering the efficiency of individual's joints.
