SUBSTANCE: orthopedic exerciser for correcting of pathological abnormal changes in patient's locomotor apparatus with affected central nervous system has base with lower legs retaining module. Exerciser is designed so as to accommodate patient therein in cross-legged sitting position and has vertical support connected with base, seat mounted on base, table and knee retaining insertion tubes. Retaining module is adapted for arrangement in immovable position. Method involves placing patient within orthopedic exerciser in cross-legged position, with his back adjoining vertical support so that his pelvis is immediately adjacent said support; placing tubers of the ischium on seat; fixing leg parts adjacent to shins by inserting vertical stop of retaining module between legs, and adjacent to knees by placing tubes onto knees; fixing knees by means of table; simultaneously fixing back to vertical support in the region adjacent to iliac crests. Patient should spend 2-3 hours a day within exerciser. Method allows patient to play, read, eat while sitting within exerciser in advantageous position.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of exerciser and method owing to enhanced effect upon patient's coxofemoral joints in sitting position due to rigid fixing thereof, improved manner of walking and posture.
