FIELD: railway transport; auxiliary railway equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of application of lubricant onto rails. According to proposed method, lubricant applicator is fitted on movable terrain. Terrain is equipped, respectively, with radio beacon installed at beginning and sending radio signals and radio direction finder installed at end, with electronic control unit to which speed meter is connected. Radio direction finder detects angular deflection of radio signal to the left or right from longitudinal axis of track gauge depending on curvature of track section. Order is sent to apply lubricant to rails to left-hand or right-hand lubricator through electronic control unit, and angle α between vectors of speed at beginning and end of train at each moment is measured by means of radio signal and radius R of track curvature is calculated by electronic unit by formula where L is distance between radio beacon and radio direction finder chosen with required lead of beginning of lubrication before getting of lubricator on rail in curvilinear section of track, and order is sent by electronic unit to lubricator to start lubrication and determine amount of lubricant to be applied depending on radius of curvature of rail track and speed of train. In proposed rail lubricator control system, train is furnished with radio beacon and radio direction finder at beginning and end of running, respectively to measure angle α of deflection of radio signal between vectors of speeds at beginning and end of train. Control system provides calculation of radius R of curvature of rail track in electronic control unit by formula and delivers order for lubricating the rails and metering out amount of lubricant depending of radius of curvature of rail track and speed of train.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of lubrication.
