METHOD AND DEVICE FOR GUIDING NEEDLES AT SURGICAL TREATMENT OF LATERAL SPREADING OF FOOT Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B17/88 

FIELD: medicine; traumatic surgery; orthopedics.

SUBSTANCE: two needles can be directed introduced at required angle to each other through first and second instep bones when treating lateral spreading of foot. Device has case, two guides of needles in form of hollow tubes; two planks provided with longitudinal openings, which planks are attached to case at angle; movable planks with longitudinal openings attached to planks by means of screw hinges. Needles' guides are disposed at ends of movable planks. Opening for needle and threaded opening for screw to fix needle are made in case. After correcting osteotomy of first instep bone is finished, case is disposed along backside of foot in projection of base of second instep bone. Needle is inserted into opening in case till it gets rest with top surface of second instep bone and then needle is fixed by screw. Needles' guides are disposed onto internal surface of first instep bone due to retention of screw hinges and due to shifting of movable planks. Then device is removed from foot. Needles are inserted into needles' guides; needles are moved in direction of sharp of needle. Position of needles' guides is corrected additionally due to retention in screw hinges. Then needles are removed from guides. Device is mounted onto initial place and needles are guided through first and second instep bones by means of drill; protruding ends are pulled together by wire seam.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of treatment.
