FIELD: measuring technique.

SUBSTANCE: flow meter comprises member that is made of a rod and set into the flow, vortex pickup mounted in the vicinity of the member, or on the member, or on another member connected with the member, and converter for converting the signal from the vortex pickup into the output signal. A part of the member that projects into the flow has a length of 0.5 of the diameter of the measuring pipeline. According to the second version, the member and the vortex pickup are arranged inside the pipe section used for setting it in the measuring pipeline. The length and width of the member are chosen so that the range of flow velocities in which the vortex frequency is proportional to the fluid flow is a minimum.
