FIELD: mobile radio-communications.

SUBSTANCE: method for transferring IP-packets between a network radio-controller (RNC) (2) and following mobile radio-communications device is characterized by the fact, that IP-packet subject to transfer contains first codec mode pointer, which shows, at which codec mode the transfer was performed from mobile terminal (MT) (1) to first network radio-controller (RNC) (2), device for replacing codec mode pointer (DCF) (5), through which the IP-packet passes on the way through mobile radio-communication network, replaces first codec mode pointer contained in data packet with second codec mode pointer, which is known to aforementioned following device or mobile terminal (MT) (1), IP-packet, which contains second codec mode pointer, and which matches first codec mode pointer according to the table memorized in codec mode pointer replacement device, is sent further towards aforementioned following device.

EFFECT: reduced signaling load due to centralized processing of codec mode change.
